Russia attacks twenty settlements in Kherson Oblast, wounding one

Russian attacks in Kherson Oblast over the past day targeted 20 settlements and wounded one person, officials said on April 21.

In a message on Telegram, Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said 12 private houses were damaged, as well as an educational institution, a restaurant and a gas pipeline.

“The gas leak has been stopped, there are no more fires or threats,” he added.

Kherson is under daily attack by Russian forces, including regular artillery attacks from the city’s occupied eastern bank.

On April 19, an 80-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking on the street.

Elsewhere, Russian forces attacked 13 communities in the northeastern Sumy Oblast in 54 separate attacks during the day, the regional government said on April 20.

At least 283 explosions have been reported in Sumy Oblast in the past 24 hours.

In a post on Telegram, the head of the city’s military administration, Roman Mrochko, said the victim was walking through the streets when she was hit in an attack from the occupied eastern bank of Kherson.
