Nine people killed after an over-height truck hit a van in Rajasthan

Jaipur: In a tragic incident, at least nine people were killed in Jhalawar, Rajasthan on Saturday evening after the van they were traveling in was hit by a speeding truck.

According to reports, a group of ten people were returning from a wedding ceremony from Khilchipur in Madhya Pradesh when they encountered the accident.

Three were reportedly killed on the spot, while six others succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital.

After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and initiated investigation into the matter. While the driver of the truck fled, he was later apprehended.

Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.

In a similar case, a couple was killed yesterday in Boudh district when an ambulance allegedly rammed into them. The man and his wife reportedly died on the spot after an ambulance hit their bike from behind on the bridge over Mahanadi River in Boudh district. The couple’s two children who were with the deceased couple when the accident occurred miraculously escaped death.

After being informed of the incident, local police arrested the driver of the ambulance and are conducting further investigations. Detailed reports on this are expected.\
