Rayados in Crisis: four games without a win

Rayados are currently facing a crisis as they continue their poor run, going four games without a win, including three defeats. Despite celebrating a last-minute draw with Tigres a few days ago, their battle continued as they lost 2-0 to León on Saturday.

Coach Tano Ortiz, who was satisfied with his team’s response in the Clásico Region, left many doubts after the disappointing performance on matchday 16. The rival team’s lack of strength prevented Rayados from suffering a defeat.

The game was even in terms of possession, but León had more shots and dangerous plays, which led to the victory. With this result, Rayados remains stagnant with 29 points, while León has reached 23 points, depending on the results of Pumas and Gallos.

In the first half, Monterrey narrowly escaped a goal, with León gaining possession and scoring in the 39th minute. The second half continued in similar fashion, with León scoring their second goal in the 47th minute.

Despite attempts to turn the game around, Rayados failed to break the deadlock. Now they will have to shift their focus to their upcoming Concacaf Champions Cup semi-final match against the Columbus Crew this week.

The pressure is on for Rayados to recover from their current slump and turn their season around.
