KCR kicks off on April 24, BRS campaign for Lok Sabha polls goes into top gear

HYDERABAD: After a series of confabulations and meticulous planning, Bharat Rahstra Samithi (BRS) supremo K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is set to take the party’s campaign into high gear. KCR held a series of meetings with party leaders including working president KT Rama Rao, former finance minister T Harish Rao, former chairman Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and others and finally came up with a campaign plan.

KCR will start his tour of Telanagana on April 24. It is said that he would meet farmers in their fields during the day and understand their misery as crops were badly affected by water scarcity. The BRS is already campaigning against the lack of planning and lack of concern for farmers among the Congress leaders and of course the state government. KCR is likely to explain how he had ensured the availability of water in the reservoirs and tanks and how the Congress government “mismanaged” this with a knee-jerk reaction of draining water from the reservoirs. the large-scale Kaleswharam project instead of taking emergency measures to protect the barrage and also ensure water supply.

The BRS has already made irrigation, agriculture, drinking water and electricity supply as their four main campaign points. KCR’s public meetings and roadshows would draw attention to these issues faced by the people and how the state was plunged into misery in just four months over these four key issues.

The BRS announced the schedule of KCR’s campaign trail late on Saturday evening.
