Highlights of the weekend: Unioto softball defeats Washington

Unioto 37, Washington 1: Abbie Marshall hit four home runs in one game to give the Shermans their most dominant win of the season. Marshall finished the game 5-for-5 at the plate with nine RBIs and seven runs. Alexis Book hit three doubles and a homerun, scored three runs and drove in eight runs. Ava Dettwiller hit three homeruns, scored three runs and had eight RBIs, while Haylee Hull hit five doubles, five RBIs and had four runs.

Huntington 10, North Adams 2: The Huntsmen recorded their tenth win of the season after eliminating the Green Devils on Saturday. Mackenzie Paugh threw a complete game, striking out 10 batters and giving up only one hit. Paugh also went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a run. Allie Baker went 3-for-5 with two triples, an RBI, three runs and a stolen base. Savannah Bushatz also hit two triples, drove in two runs and scored twice.

Nora Moore finished the day 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and Leah McCloskey doubled, drove in three runs and scored one. Ava Potter had two hits with a run and an RBI, and Kaylee Kendall had a hit, a run and an RBI.


Jackson 9, Zane Track 4: The Pioneers suffered their first loss in nearly a month after falling to the Ironmen on Saturday. Rece Allen and Blake Phillips each posted two hits in the loss, and Josh Young went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Coen Larson went 2-for-3, while Brooks Hodson and Ezra Rippeth each doubled and drove in a run.

Wellston 14, Piketon 10: The Redstreaks scored five runs in the sixth inning but were held back in a loss to the Golden Rockets on Saturday. Garrett Legg led the team after going 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run. Zack Hannah went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and three runs, and Ashton Cormany doubled, walked twice and scored three times. Buddy Wilson also went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run.
